About Anne

Anne Duncan is a contemporary artist whose greatest inspiration as always been music, the visual arts and the direct, lived experience in of the natural world. She began playing the piano as a child and her life and work has been shaped by an ongoing, deep connection with music. Duncan received her BFA from SUNY Purchase in classical piano performance; graduate coursework at New York University; a MS in School Psychology and PhD in Clinical Psychology from the Derner School of Psychology at Adelpi University. She worked as a licensed psychologist for many years. Since 2010, Duncan has studied painting at the New Hampshire Institute of Art, Anderson Ranch Art Center, and the New York Studio School.
